Leicestershire police spent over 2 hours on Friday March 27th searching for a missing 9 year old boy. Police cars were searching the streets of Barlestone while a police helicopter hovered overhead.
The helicopter could be seen directly over the centre of Barlestone as it used thermal imaging to search for the missing person. After a short while hovering overhead, the helicopter then turned to using a high-intensity search light to conduct a visual search around the edge of the village.
After considerable time and effort, the boy was found to be safe and well around a friends house.
